Spring 2006 (Almost!)

We went out on a secret adventure yesterday to celebrate the coming of Spring in the desert. Here is a picture of the road to Ironwood Forest National Monument. Uh oh, the Santa Cruz river has flooded the road! Bummer man. Just kidding~the Jeep made it through like it was just a little puddle. Yeah!! And this is what we were after...Petroglyphs that were made by the desert people that lived here thousands of years ago. Cool, huh? So we drove through the desert for awhile, and found the "Cholla hill" named for all of the TEDDYBEAR CHOLLA that were growing in it.

And here we are all the way on the top of the hill~~ ¡Somos muy altos! But alas, the petroglyphs remained elusive. Until next time!
